Overall the experience was fine. The reason for the less than stellar review above is namely because of Ross. Allison was awesome to us. She was available for every question and concern from the beginning and communicated great with us from the start. When it got handed to Ross is when our experience diminished. He was rude to and spoke over Kayla in their initial conversation and eventually did that to me as well. He was pushy about needing certain information that we did not have in the moment. In the closing disclosure timeline he had gotten information wrong on the contract, which is fine, but after telling him the correct information he got it wrong again which I had to catch. We felt like the communication went down the drain when we got handed over to Ross. Some things were incorrect, not clear, and came off pushy. We did not feel valued in the back half of our experience and honestly could have done without Ross. While this was my first mortgage experience, I thought it was odd to not ever hear from Garrett aside from what felt to be canned emails especially after our concerns about Ross had been expressed to Allison. I apologize for the brutal review, but aside from Allison we thought the experience could have been far better. I understand we are young and didn’t purchasing the most expensive home but I felt like that was part of the reason we were disrespected in the process. All of this in, we are not likely to use Locklear Lending again. Please feel free to call me for further explanation or clarification of our review. We also informed our realtor with our disappointment with the process.
